What I Do
I have developed workflow and collaborative applications to facilitate knowledge-sharing, communication, process improvement, risk management, training and exception tracking. I work with a wide range of personnel, both in the IT sector and among business representatives.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Instructional Design & Technology from the University of Pittsburgh, with a focus on literacy, critical thinking and computer-mediated work. In addition to my full-time work my experience includes serving on the executive board of the Pittsburgh Regional Knowledge Management Consortium (PRKMC) the IT Workforce Education board at Catalyst Connection of Western Pennsylvania, and as board president of
STC WorkQuest.
I have taught at the University of Pittsburgh College of Business Administration (CBA), Katz Business School Center for Executive Education (CEE), Penn State University Outreach and Carnegie Mellon University. I have made presentations on collaboration and knowledge-sharing to groups that include the Pittsburgh chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Pittsburgh Technology Council and the Software Engineering Institute. I have also written several articles and papers. Please see the appropriate headings to view selected HTML, MS PowerPoint or Acrobat PDF examples of these.
